CORONA PLUS 45 NIR consists of a polychromator with a measuring head featuring a 0° / 45° circular measuring geometry. An optical system installed in the quasi-parallel beam ensures illumination at a right angle to the sample (0°). Sample viewing at 45° is made possible by 15 single fibers arranged equidistantly in a ring which are combined into a bundle and routed to the spectrometer via a coupling point. The measuring head contains a 12 V / 20 W halogen lamp that is powered by the stabilized power supply in the spectrometer housing. The dual-beam configuration enables the correction of long-term changes in the internal system components. A reference beam path is provided within the spectrometer housing, and the intensity spectra sequentially measured for this beam path can be compared with the spectra of the measuring beam path. An electrical shutter is used for switching between the channels. CORONA PLUS 45 NIR operates at 12 – 24 V SELV power supply. A power unit can be connected to the rear. The rear panel also provides four digital input and output ports as well as the Ethernet interface for connection of a computer.
CORONA PLUS 45 NIR has been designed for online measurements in quality assurance and process control. It is also possible to reliably measure very different samples even in rough environments. Therefore, the sensor unit is ideal for incoming goods inspection and humidity monitoring in the pharmaceutical and chemical sectors as well as in the food industry. Furthermore, CORONA PLUS 45 NIR can be used for ingredient measurements and the measurement of the concentration and homogeneity of components during mixing procedures. Last but not least, it is also ideal as a universal instrument for research and development.
