ZEISS on Your Campus 2012
Carl Zeiss Microscopy

JENA/Germany, 23.07.2012.
ZEISS on Your Campus (ZOYC) by Carl Zeiss is a traveling tour bringing free microscopy workshops to universities and institutes throughout the world and has attracted more than 2000 attendees since. The tour was launched in 2009 in the United States and, starting in March 2012, was expanded to Europe, Asia, Latin and South America.

ZOYC provides scientists and their students with a unique opportunity to attend educational seminars and hands-on workshops focusing on the fundamentals of various microscopy techniques. This year’s program focuses on the basics of acquiring and improving images for scientific publication as well as emerging technologies in both light and electron microscopy. Lectures concentrate on topics for students and researchers who are new to microscopy or would like a better understanding of the basics of microscopy and digital imaging. There are also more advanced lectures that will be of interest to both students and experienced microscopists. Hands-on labs provide students with the opportunity to apply the information learned from the lectures on real equipment and samples, while also exploring a variety of practical topics common to day-to-day microscopy work.

Attendance at workshops is free to all participants. Educational materials and software for image viewing and manipulation are provided to registered participants. For information on locations and registration, please visit
