The innovative, digital Centration Measuring System from Carl Zeiss, the Relaxed Vision Terminal (RV Terminal), guarantees optimum lens fitting through exact measurement with 1/10 millimetre accuracy. Precisely tailored to the needs of each individual eye, the lenses produced in this way virtually restore natural vision to each individual wearer. Anyone who decides to purchase a new pair of high-quality spectacles expects to receive optimum visual performance. However, even the most advanced materials cannot guarantee optimum visual performance if progressive lenses cannot be measured with the required precision: with just two millimetres of inaccuracy, lenses lose about 50% of their performance. This leads to annoyed and unsatisfied patients. With the RV Terminal, the latest centration measuring system from Carl Zeiss Consumer Optics, the core functions of the proven Video Infral® II system have been enhanced and incorporated in a considerably more compact version featuring automated shape recording, calibration and centration data measurement. The single camera system is so precise that it optimally supports the optical performance of the lenses. It is so easy to operate that an extremely short learning curve results for opticians and their staff. And it is so compact that it can be installed in even the smallest sales area. The system is very user-friendly thanks to the extremely short measuring time (less than 3 minutes) and an innovative, patented fixation target which immediately attracts the patient’s attention. The excellent image quality has to be seen to be believed. The measure of all things: satisfied patients. The reliably exact measurement optimally matches lenses to the patient’s eyes. The new centration system assists opticians not only in the measurement of all centration data, but also in lens and frame consultation, and provides them with useful, practical selling points for lens products. The use of the RV Terminal not only offers substantial added value, but also provides opticians with many different image-boosting possibilities to help them set themselves apart from their competitors.
